Weapons can drop with mad stats quite often, but i don't think that's what you were asking. Off-hand i can only think of the fiery flame splitter. However, lots of the proph collector items have funky stats.

The crystalline skinned longsword and other such odd weapons are all quest rewards from various Prophecies quests, the only other such quest reward with an inherent caster mod that I can remember is a Longbow with a HSR 10% mod from the Regent Valley Defense quest. Maybe browse through the quests on wiki if you're looking for something in particular, or as someone else mentioned, check the available collector weapons.

IMO the long sword you are refering to makes a great low energy set caster weapon. It has unique stats, and can be modded with +30 hp or 20% enchanting. As other have pointed out, you could also use a halves skill recharge of spells inscription to make a decent low energy caster weapon aswell. My favorite unique mod is the bow you can get from a collector around the ascalon region that has an attack speed decreased mod, most terrible mod i can think of.
There is also an offhand you can aquire I believe in presearing which has two reduces condition durations by 20% mods, cant remember them off the top of my head right now, but again, it is a very unique item, although I have never really found a good time to use it. |

Along this topic, do the purp Crystal Swords that drop out of FoW chests come /w the +5e inherent?
I've been trying to remember if I've ever seen a purple with that inherent, so far never remember seeing it. |

Purples can drop with max mods. They drop with stats in the 3rd quarter of the range available. This means that an armor mod (like +4-5 armor while attacking) can drop with +5 armor (max) on a purple item.
However, +5 energy mods only drop on golds, so you won't find a purple one with that inherent, no. Last edited by Dzjudz; Jan 25, 2010 at 12:12 PM // 12:12.. Reason: spelling |

purples can drop with max stats, be it inherent or inscription, it's just much rarer and doesn't apply to every stat. most of my hale&hearty came from grapes and i had perf furious hammer part from a grape (not that it's the best mod though...).
i'm sure that most weapons can drop with +5e inherent. daggers are the most popular amongst those and q8 perf oni daggers with inherent +5e and some other nice stats are worth a small fortune. i'm not sure about hct/hsr, i've personally never seen any droppable, non-green, non-caster item with inherent stats like that. i believe that 10% hsr is possible though but pretty rare. the enchanting part should be ruled out completely as enchanting mod is not inherent or at least i've never seen any inherent enchanting statistic. however, don't forget about shields. they come in various forms, including +1 [caster attribute] when using skills and max inherent mods like that, along with another max mod, are sought by hardcore pvp monks. |
